After we completed the first phase, focusing on making the main house functional, we turned our attention to the outside area: gathering the heaps of debris that had accumulated at various points of the estate, rebuilding the collapsed retaining walls, reviving the old irrigation system, trimming the almond grove, reinforcing the vine trellis, and planting a new lavender field.
Meanwhile, we continued to spruce up the interior: adding bedspreads to the beds, new bedding and towel sets that harmonized in color, pictures on the walls, small accessories like vases on the shelves and dressers, and pillows everywhere. For the kids’ play corner, we acquired new board games, children’s books, and building blocks, while for the adults, we gathered books and magazines to enhance complete relaxation.
During this trial phase, we took in all the feedback from friends and family, constantly improving along the way.
By the next summer, 2022, the official moment arrived: we received a 5-star rating, and we were overjoyed!
Shortly after, we were featured in Elle Decor, which was an immense source of pride!
Soon, we had not only ourselves and our friends visiting but also returning guests.
And still, we were full of plans and ideas for development, pondering how to achieve everything in due time… and how to bring to life everything that still resides in us. Well, even now, we are still seeking the paths and opportunities, continuously developing, expanding, and evolving.
